Step 1. Determine Location For Wall

The most popular design for mobile pet trailers is to
have a non-bearing wall approximately 2 feet in from the
rear of the trailer. With this design you have all of your
noisy equipment on one side with access from the
rear double doors. This creates a more quiet environment
for grooming your dogs.

In the picture you will notice a short wall. This wall is for
the front of a platform to support a home depot bathtub
that cost $99. If you go with a professional pet groomer
tub with its own stand you will not need to frame this
platform saving you time. I recommend you go with
a pet groomers tub. I saw one at Ryans Pet Supply
that is under $600. This tub also is not as long as a human
tub providing more room in your trailer.

Now look at the picture and you will see a steel track
running close to the ceiling, down both walls and across
the floor. This is 25 gauge galvanized steel. It is sold
at most home depots and lowes. It is light weight and
preferable to use over wood. Once you have this
frame screwed into the floor and the trailer walls
you can add studs every 16 inches to make a framed
wall. I build this wall 20 to 24 inches in from the rear
of the trailer.

The idea is to leave enough room behind this wall for
your water tanks, vacuum cleaner, small water heater.
It is a good idea to shop for water tanks before you build
this wall so you will know exactly how much clearance
you will need.

Once you have your wall frame up you can now install
your flooring material. Look for a non slip material.
Visit home depot and you will find some rubber tiles
for garages that are non -slip. Once you find the
best non-slip material go ahead and install it first.

In the next blog I we will go over step 2,
installing electrical outlets and green board
sheet rock.

Here is our next trailer - a 6x12 pro series

This is a pro series 6 x 12 Trailer.

It has upgrades very important for a mobile pet groomer.

It includes a 32" rv door.

It is lowered to the ground making it much easier to step in and out, especially with pets.

It is also available in a 6x10. We want a 6 x 12 to have a little more room to add a small toilet and a seating area.

Where we bought the Empty Trailer To Finish The Inside

Here is a picture of Sofiya at the Trailers Plus
dealership in Fresno, CA. We paid $2800. cash.
including around $200. for dmv one time resgistration. What a great feeling when we left that dealership knowing that we would not have any monthly payments. I don't know how mobile pet stylist can afford to pay over $500. a month to fiance a grooming van?
$500. is a lot of dogs. I would rather use a trailer and work less or enjoy the $500. to spend on my self. Trailer Plus has locations thoughout the United States. Here is a link to their website

Sofiya's 6 x 10 Pet Grooming Trailer

This is another picture of Sofiya's 6x10 trailer.. She was able to use it for work at this point, however I later installed white plastic walls and a rubber non-slip floor like the professional ones. It is not too large and easy to pull around town. Our next trailer we are going to go with a 6 x12 so we have extra room for a small toilet and a seating area. We really love the convenience that we can unhook this trailer at the end of the day and be able to use our car for personal use. Who in this business can afford to waste money on both a commercial truck and a private car when starting out? The trailer system saves money and works great!

The Secret To Building Your Own Trailer? Think RV Motor Homes!

RV's Have all the same systems you need in
your mobile pet grooming trailer!

Before starting to build the inside of Sofiya's Pet Grooming Trailer I needed to figure out how water/ AC and electrical systems would be installed in a trailer.
I have installed all of these for homes but had no experience with installing them in a pet trailer and knew I should do some research.

Then it came to me, RV's. Everything we needed in our pet grooming trailer is built into RV's. So I started searching on the Internet for RV parts and presto! I found all kinds of stuff for no where near the high prices these pet grooming trailer manufacturers are charging. I became very excited and knew 100% I would be able to Successfully Complete this project.

I realized that even if I should get stuck somewhere during the project the professional RV dealers was more than happy to bail me out of trouble and I would still end up paying a lot less than the $20,000 plus prices I have seen advertised on the Internet for one of these things. So It was a slam dunk!

How My Husband Built My 6x10 Mobile Pet Grooming Trailer for $7000.

My name is Sofiya. I was workingas a pet stylist at Petco in HuntingtonBeach, CA. The job was very hard labor and paid very little to live in expensive California where our townhouse monthly rent was $2120.00 plus bills)))

We saw a young girl drive by in a Chevy Tahoe towing a large pet grooming trailer. We started researching the mobile pet grooming business and found out that I could work less hours and earn the same amount of money, if not more by owning my own business.

Lucky for me my husband is the BBQ Coach. Who'sthe BBQ Coach? He is a Professional Builder of Outdoor Kitchens who teaches families how to build their own outdoor kitchens saving them thousandsof dollars. See his website - click here>

Hi My name is William. I built Sofiya's mobile pet grooming trailer and I am going to help you do it too! No pet groomer just starting their business wants to be paying $500. a month plus for truck payments. Plus money for tools, gas, maintenance, advertising, cell phone.

The cost of business goes on and on.

But What If you owned your pet grooming trailer with no monthly payment? Wouldn't you be so much happier having that extra money in your pocket for something nice that you deserve for working so hard.

Today is you lucky day! I am going to help you build your own pet grooming trailer for free.

Yes for free. All I ask is that if you or anyone you know ever wants an Outdoor Kitchen you please refer them to my Bbq Coach website where I try to earn my living selling dvd's and mail order steel frame kits that assemble like Ikea furniture. Ok So It's A Deal?

I will add more and more information in future months to this website to help you all that I can. I just want you to know right now that just about anyone with basic tools and skills from working around their home can do this project and save thousands of dollars.

Even if there are a few parts of the project you have to hire a plumber orhave it installed at your nearest RV Dealer. You Can Still Save Thousands and create a very beautiful Mobile Pet Grooming Trailer! I did it and you can too!
